Mrs. Mary Pintar
Resource Teacher
21 Years at Holy Trinity School
Education: Bachelors Degree from Pittsburg State University, 1987
Work Experience:   Resource teacher for grades K-8th at Holy Trinity School.  My focus is primarily on Reading, Math and Writing.  I do provide support for other subjects as well, if needed. I implement various research based reading programs, for example, the Barton Reading and Spelling System.
Teaching Philosophy:  I believe every child is a gift from God, and, I believe every child can be successful, despite any challenges they may endure.  It is imperative children have the desire to learn. I strive to instill a love of learning in each child.  It is my goal to provide each student the tools, encouragement, support and learning environment they need to become successful.
Passions/Interests:  My husband, Greg, is a Lead Software Engineer for H&R Block and we've been married 30 years!  We have two wonderful daughters! Our oldest daughter is 26, graduated from Kansas State University in May of 2015 and currently resides in Texas. Our youngest daughter is 24 and is a graduate of Pittsburg State University.  This Fall, she will be applying to several universities to obtain a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.  I enjoy spending time with my family; traveling with my husband, especially on our motorcycle; touring historical sites; fitness/exercise; the beach and gardening.  I love to read and learn about the Old West!
Favorite Scripture:  1 Corinthians 13:4-7: Love is patient, love is kind.  It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no records of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
